This easy oven baked kofte recipe gives you juicy, flavour packed Turkish meatballs at home. No grill. No smoke. Just pure flavour thanks to Baharat Kofte Seasoning, our authentic family blend. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a full fakeaway with chips and salad.
Ingredients (serves 4)
For the Kofte

300 g lamb mince

300 g beef mince
-
2 tbsp Baharat Kofte Seasoning

1 tbsp sweet pepper paste

1 tbsp olive oil

1 handful parsley, chopped
For the Salad
-
Lamb’s lettuce (half a bag)
-
1 tomato, finely chopped
-
Half a cucumber, finely chopped
-
1 pointed red pepper, sliced
-
1 onion, very thinly sliced
-
3 tbsp Turkish salad dressing
-
1 tsp salt
For the Chips
-
4 large Cyprus potatoes, peeled and cut into chips

Oil for frying

1 tsp salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the koftes
Preheat your oven to 180 C. Line a baking tray with parchment. Mix the lamb and beef mince with Baharat Kofte Seasoning, sweet pepper paste, olive oil and parsley. Knead well so the seasoning blends through the meat. Shape into small, thick patties. Place on the tray.
2. Bake
Bake for about 25 minutes.
Flip halfway so both sides brown evenly.
3. Cook the chips
Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer.
Fry the potatoes until golden.
Drain and season with salt.
4. Make the salad
Combine all salad ingredients in a large bowl.
Toss well.
Add dressing and salt.
5. Serve
Plate the koftes with chips and salad.
Add chilli sauce or yoghurt sauce if you like.
