Easy and delicious homemade Döner Kebab! Whether you want it in bread or on top of rice or with a side of chips, it's a delicious recipe you can make in your own kitchen. You can use a mix of 80% beef and 20% lamb if you prefer. You can make more and store it in the freezer for a long-time recipe for 10 servings.
Â
Ingredients:
- 500g minced meat
- 1 medium-sized onion
- 2 small cloves of garlic
- 1 heaping tablespoon of yogurt
- (Optional 2 tablespoons of semolina, flour, or breadcrumbs)
- 2-3 tablespoons Baharat Döner Seasoning
Â
Instructions:
- Put all the ingredients for the döner in a food processor and blend until the ingredients are well combined. If you don't have a food processor, grate the garlic and onion, then add the other ingredients and knead well. Kneading is important; it should have a paste-like consistency. Then tightly wrap it in plastic wrap. After letting it marinate in the refrigerator for 5-6 hours, transfer it to the freezer and let it sit for 1 day.
Â
- The next day, take the ground beef döner out of the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. Slice it thinly with a sharp knife. Don't slice all of it at once! Slice as much as your pan can accommodate. The ones waiting on the side will become soft and fall apart.
Â
- Heat a pan on the stove until it's very hot. Add a little vegetable oil or butter for flavour and quickly fry the döner on both sides for a short time (25-30 seconds). Don't fry it for too long, or it will become dry. Enjoy your meal! 😋
