Baharat, Doner Kebab (Slowcooker) Recipe

Recipe:

  • Add 2 or 3 tbsp of our seasoning to 500 grams of mince meat of your choice 
  • Mix or blend in a food processor
  • let sit for 1 hour or more 
  • Roll the mince mix and shape it into a block or loaf shape. Really compress it hard into shape to make sure it sticks together during cooking.
  • Wrap loosely in tin foil.
  • Put in the slow cooker, drizzle with oil and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 7-8 hours.
  • Remove cooked mince loaf from cooker.
  • Leave to rest for 10 minutes.
  • While the meat is resting, heat the pitta under the grill and prepare the salad.
  • Slice the meat into thin slices.  Tip - use a vegetable peeler to achieve takeaway style slices.
  • Serve in the warm pitta along with choice of salad and sauces.
