Baharat, Chicken Shish Kebab Recipe

Recipe:

  • Add 3 tbsp of our seasoning to 500 grams of chicken
  • Vegan or vegetarian replacement, use chunks of eggplant, whole mushroom, or pieces of cauliflower
  • 2 tbsp of oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • Using the scissors, cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces
  • Grate 1 small onion and add to the mixture
  • Mix till combined
  • Let sit for 1 hour or more
  • Thread onto skewers alternating with a vegetables of choice 
  • Fry the chicken in a splash of oil in a large pan for 4-5 minutes, moving the pieces only occasionally so they blacken.
  • You can also cook the kebabs on a grill or barbecue, turning them halfway through
  • Serve with rice and/or your favourite salad
