The perfect Lamb Kofte at home

Want to make the perfect Lamb Kofte at home? Here's what you need to do:

⭐️ Use high quality and high fat lamb mince from your butcher - all the flavour comes from the fat!

⭐️ Add in 1 tbsp of Baharat Kofte Seasoning per 500g lamb mince.

⭐️ Have bowl of water near by when by when shaping your kofte to stop the meat sticking to your hands.

⭐️ Use wide flat skewers so there is a greater surface area for the mince to mould around and you'll get a much better cook.

⭐️ Make sure the fire has fully settled before cooking - the high fat content will catch the flames easily and burn if the fire is too hot (If/when using the BBQ).

⭐️Make a zesty and crunchy salad to go along side your kofte for contrast with the rich lamb flavour.

⭐️Don't forget to drizzle with plenty yogurt 🌶🧄

  • Add 1 tbsp of our blend to 500 grams of mince meat
  • Grate 1 small onion and add to the mixture
  • Grate 1 clove of garlic and add to the mixture
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • Mix till combined
  • Let sit for 1 hour or more 
  • Divide into balls, then roll each ball on a board with a cupped hand to turn them into ovals. 
  • Cook on a griddle or BBQ: heat the pan/bbq until you can feel a good heat rising and cook for 3-4 mins each side.
  • Don’t turn until they are well sealed, or the meat will stick to the grill or pan.
  • Serve the kofte's with pita, salad, tomato sauce and yogurt
