For the Doner Meat:

500g beef mince (ideally 20% fat)

2 tbsp Greek yoghurt

1 grated onion

1 grated garlic clove

1 tbsp tomato purée

🔥 Method (Exactly as in the Video)
1. Make the Doner Log
In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Mix well and knead until the mixture becomes sticky and paste-like. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour — overnight is even better.
2. Shape & Cook
Form the meat directly onto skewers and wrap tightly in foil, twisting the ends to hold the shape. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 1 hour 30 minutes.
Let it rest for a few minutes once out of the oven to firm up.
3. Slice the Doner
Unwrap the foil (rest 10 min) and slice the meat thinly with a sharp knife.
For added flavour and texture, flash-fry the slices in a hot pan with their juices until slightly crisp — just like in the video.
4. Build Your Plate
Start with Turkish bread or a wrap.
Top with hot doner slices.
Add onions.
