🧆 5 Ways to Make Köfte at Home

Each recipe uses:

  • 500g minced lamb, beef, or a 50/50 mix (ideally 20% fat)

  • 2 tbsp Baharat Köfte Seasoning

  • Optional flavour boost: 1 grated onion, 1 minced garlic clove, 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Mix until sticky and marinate for at least 1 hour (or overnight)

Serving suggestions:
Serve with rice or bulgur, grilled veg, flatbread, tzatziki, or chili sauce.


🔥 1. Pan-Fried Köfte Patties

You’ll need:

  • 500g minced lamb or beef

  • 2 tbsp Baharat Köfte Seasoning

  • Optional: onion, garlic, olive oil

  • Non-stick pan or skillet

Steps:

  1. Mix and marinate the meat.

  2. Shape into oval patties, about 1.5 cm thick.

  3. Fry over medium heat for 4–5 mins per side.

Simple, juicy, and perfect for weeknights.
Serve with flatbread, yogurt, or salad.

  3. Air fry at 190°C for 14–16 mins, turning once.

Crispy outside, juicy inside — no frying oil needed.

You’ll need:

  • 500g minced lamb or beef

  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes, 1 tbsp tomato paste, 200ml water

Steps:

  1. Mix and shape meat into small balls.

  2. In a pan, sauté garlic and tomato paste, then add tomatoes and water.

  3. Add köfte to sauce and simmer for 20–25 mins until cooked through.

Hearty and warming — best with rice or crusty bread.
