This recipe for Bacon Wrapped Chicken Shish in the Air Fryer is a simple and delicious meal that is perfect for feeding the whole family. It's a versatile dish that can be served as a flavourful appetizer or as a satisfying dinner for two. The chicken thighs are cubed, seasoned with Chicken Shish Seasoning skewered, wrapped in crispy bacon, and air-fried to perfection until golden brown and irresistibly delicious.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Olive oil
  • 4 Chicken thighs
  • 1 tbsp of Chicken Shish Seasoning
  • 6 slices of bacon of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce of your choice

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 200°C.
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil or any other oil
  3. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized cubes and pat them dry with a paper towel. Place them on a plate and sprinkle the seasoning over them. Rub the Chicken Shish Seasoning into the chicken pieces until well-coated.
  4. Thread the chicken cubes onto skewers and place them back on the plate.
  5. Cut the bacon rashers in half lengthwise. Wrap each chicken cube with a piece of bacon, slightly overlapping it and pulling it tight. Place the bacon-wrapped chicken pieces seam side down on the plate.
  6. Brush the hot sauce over the bacon-wrapped chicken pieces, flipping them to coat both sides evenly.
  7. Place the chicken skewers in the air fryer basket, seam side down, in a single layer.
  8. Air fry at 200°C for 10 minutes. Then, flip the chicken skewers over and brush with more hot sauce.
  9. Remove the chicken skewers from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious bacon-wrapped Chicken Shish Kebab

An air fryer is not necessary to make Bacon Wrapped Chicken Shish. You can prepare this dish in the oven by placing the prepared skewers on a baking sheet. Preheat your oven to 180°C and cook until the top surface becomes golden brown. Flip the skewers and cook for a few more minutes until the other side is browned.
